Hi, I'm searching for a good 3DS (Max) model of a Pool table. The thing is that I'm building one, but I have problem with some measures... so I'd use the downloaded model to take measures to complete my model. thanks

thanks, it is, indeed, helpful.

But I have a more "complicated" problem. I explain...

I've got my slate on my cabinet, and the Rails are in place (not exactly, but are ready to be put in place). The thing is, I don't know where to cut my pocket holes. I mean, I don't know where to place them in order to make the table compliant (to the APA rules). Remember, it's a model (in 3DS Max) so I can't buy a real slate and put it in place ;) and I don't want to buy a slate just to take measurements.

The model I'm building is a 9'x4½' table, everything is set except the pocket holes and the cushions. I know that the corner pockets should all be aligned together, but what about the side pockets? I think they must be offset, but by how much? I need this to finish the model, it's the last thing I'm missing. I've got the right position as to distance between the pockets (the side pockets are at the middle of the sides, but I can't get the offset right.

Thanks for your help

I think you're talking about the shelf measurement:
Quote:

  • Shelf: The shelf is measured from the center of the imaginary line that goes from one side of the mouth to the other where the nose of the cushion changes direction to the center of the vertical cut of the slate pocket radius.

    • Corner Pocket: 1 5/8" minimum to 1 7/8" maximum
    • Side Pocket: 0" minimum to 3/8" maximum

(slightly reformatted to represent the way I understand it)

So the side pocket's rim can be flush with the inner rim of the cushion, while the corner pocket's measurement is measured from the imaginary corner where the cushions meet.
ok, I'll try to understand it well, and I come back if I don't understand it... thanks a lot
