Just wondering
I'm well aware that produce a great game now-a-days it takes a team of very talented people. But I was just wondering what kind of team do you specifically need? I know that someone must write the storyline (if there is one) someone else must do modelling, another the programming, and someone else visual concepts. I'm sure that there must be more then these three people. Could someone just give me an idea of what other people might be needed. Also is there a set max/min of people needed for making a game. Once again just wondering any input would be help -thax
I´d recommend looking at the credits of the games you own to get a rough idea of what kind of and how many people are involved.
As for how many you need - it all depends on what kind of game you´re making. The smalles unit that I think makes sense is the Programmer/Artist combination.
As a next step you might want to bring in a second artist (modeller and texture artist for example), what you add from then on very much depends on the project. At some point you´ll have a music/sfx guy to worry about, as well as a dedicated game designer. About at that stage you´ll also need some sort of project management...
