Ok I have hald of the face done. Now i need to mirror it and then go on from there. Now once I mirror it how can i make it so that things i do on one side will also happen on the other?

It may come handy.
For your question, if the part you mirror is linked to the other part, you action will take effect on both part. To do this, only use the option box when you mirror your half face. For more information, look at the free tutorial, i remember that one of them show you how to do this. :) Have fun

When you duplicate the object, use the duplicate options box and set the type to instance instead of copy
