I have a few questions concerning LightWave. 1) How does this MD_Contller work in LightWave? Is there a simple way of explaining this? For instance: these variables effect these types of objects. 2) How do you get real looking textures? I’ve read a document somewhere that where the author spoke of using bump, specular, and diffuse maps with the rgb color texture to get the highly realistic results. How do these textures interact with each other and how do you make them. I use Photoshop for all my textures I use in LightWave. Is there some filters hat I use to get those special maps?

You people suck, This forum is full of mutes! I’ve posted here several times and got no replies from any topics. But others that asked similar questions have got replies. I guess that mean nobody likes me.

cry baby.

The questions you're asking can't be answered in a quick post, you need tutorials and lecture on the topics if you don't know anything about it. There's no magic button to create realistic materials and you need to understand what the diff maps you can apply are for. There's whole books covering those topics alone.

Also, there's plenty of LW tutorials covering materials in the net, and even more covering texturing in PS, all easy to find. The forum doesn't suck, but why should anyone bother in helping out some some bugger to lazy to use google.

Check you LW manual, it explains what the different maps are for, check out Newtek's site, it has tutorials on that matter.
Google for the PS tuts, easy to find.
