Are there really programmers out there who are looking for story/character/worlds to build their programs around (or vice versa)? I have the opposite problem. I constantly have themes, stories, music, movies, characters, magic, sci-fi, etc., all running around in my head. If there are folks looking for ideas, send them my way. I would love to build a portfolio of concepts that have been actually used in games.

Well, the problem often is thinking of a game that is small enough to implement within a normal time limit for a single hobby programmer.

I've never written a novel. Many short stories, though. This A.D.D. kid can only think in short sporadic bursts.(usually)

Well. You could always give it a shot. List a couple and we'll see how they sound, I guess. If one seems just awesome, send it over to the lounge, and maybe somebody will pick up on it.
