Hi to all. I would like to make tetris alike game, with different concept, but using same building blocks like in original Tetris. Essentially if you don't try to sell the idea, you can do what you like regarding (tm) and (r)-marked products. Also, the shapes in tetris are mathematical primitives (they're specifically called a tetramino) and can't be copyrighted, in the way a circle or square can't be copyrighted.

So, you're almost certainly OK.
