3D Game Engine Design Book
Actually the book is kind of frustrating. Its written entirely in math, but none of the variables are explained. I''m going to scan in the first few pages and formulas and post them. I''ve spent monday and tuesday night staring at the book and not really understanding much of it.
A word to all other 3D initiates out there, this is not a good first 3D book. It is very advanced and presents everything conceptually. My problem is that I can''t understand the first chapter where all the geometry and math is outlined, so I''m having a hard time understanding the rest of it.
I think the book has some information on data structures, but not much specifically tailored to actual programming. There is very little code in the actual book, though the companion CD comes with a fully implemented engine. Again though, since I can''t get past the first chapter - I''m really not sure.
You all might want to wait until someone a bit more 3D or math advanced gets their hands on the book and posts comments before taking my word. I''ll try and post some specifics later.
