Hello ppl ! Okey now I think I have made a cool animation, thanks to Nehes tutorials. But now I want to add music to it, i have a *.xm file how do I add it to the program ? Any idees ?
I am a new guy to OpenGL and C++, and I will always be
You could use something like Sound Forge to convert it to a wav file and use the example from NeHe''s tuts... Or, you could go to www.wotsit.org to look for some kind of explination for the file type and make your own decoder... Etc, etc...

There are people who''ve sent in demos that use a .xm type for music, you might want to find their emails and contact them directly... I think they might use fmod. (not sure where the site is, never really cared to write it down. )

FMOD can be found at www.fmod.org
Supposed to be a pretty good sound add-on.. Haven''t used it yet myself.

Another one worth checking out is BASS... It can be found at www.un4seen.com/music/
I haven''t used it either.

I think they both play .XM files... and they should also play MP3, MOD, S3M, etc...
