Trying come up with a list of non lethal weapons and just wanted to hear som other ideas on types of non lethal weapons: Sci-fi/futuristc, modern or ancient/medieval weapons; ranged or melee; knock out or just immobilize; real or not. Anything you can think of that would be a fun/cool way to render someone unable to move. Here is what I can think of so far: - nets - bolos - sap - those poles with the pincers on the end you use to grab someone by the neck (I think I've heard them called thief-catchers?) - tazers - gun/grenade that shoots/explodes a gooey substance (think Spiderman’s web) - fly paper strips only bigger for humans - phasers set on stun - some sort of concussion grenade that knocks people out - spider robots that grapples people - force fields I'm sure I'm missing something.
KarsQ: What do you get if you cross a tsetse fly with a mountain climber?A: Nothing. You can't cross a vector with a scalar.
Glue guns (works like a flamethrower, only instead of napalm, it shoots a liquid that polymerizes when exposed to air after a few seconds, preventing all movement once it's solid).

Pillow Launcher

When used, unleashs a non-lethal white pillow upon the enemy, who is blind for several seconds and needs to fight the pillow away to continue playing.

Doorminator

When fired, builds a small room around the enemy, who must lockpick the door to get out.

Paris Hilton Hologram

Doesn't need explanation.

Possibilities are endless. The world is a very dangerous place.

Sonic blast weapons - Dune 2 had these on the Ordos (?) tanks
Baton launchers - a shotgun that fires a big, heavy, expanding foam projectile. Something like being punched by Ali at 15 feet. Good, modern day riot gear. Other things, like mace/pepper spray, teargas grenades, teargas grenade launchers, deafening sonic weapons, flash/bang grenades.

Personally, I always wanted to do a behind-view hand-to-hand-plus-weapons Oni-style game based on beating your opponent into submission and then handcuffing them. You have two kinds of damage, fatigue and pain. Pain limits one's ability to attack, and fatigue limits one's ability to move and resist impacts. Different weapons deal different amounts of each kind of damage, and allow you to recover at different rates. Depending on the gametype, it could simply be a matter of beating your opponent into near-or-full unconcsiousness, cuffing them, and calling it a point, or it could be a matter of cuffing multiple opponents and then trying to keep them under control while you drag all their butts back to the prison at once. Ultimately you could just stun your opponent into unconsciousness and then carry their ass back to prison, but that would be slow and tiring.

Be fun for multiplayer - play CTF, except you can't just "frag" people - you have to figure out what to do with them. You could just cuff 'em and leave 'em, but then they can get up and maybe break free. Or you could set up an impromptu prison and have one of your players act as "guard". Kinda like JailBreak.

Be even better with a car, where you could lock them in the back or run into people, delivering a massive blunt impact.
-- Single player is masturbation.
You could always just shoot them in the knees. :D
Anti traction materials, a gel like substance that's extremely slippery. Used in one of the robocop movies and has been developen in RL.

Microwave weapons - Causes the target to feel like he's on fire. Also real.

"Electric watergun" - a tazer without wires. It uses a conductive fluid instead. Also real.
