I am about to start working on my graphics engine again. When i stopped last time, it was because I couldnt find a model to work with, and I ended up taking up modeling just so I could work on my graphics engine. Now that Im back, I really dont feel like modeling, it would be great if I had a simple model, maybe with simple animations that I could use to test and build my engine. Is there any place a person can obtain such a model for free? Im not really looking for anything special, a .x file with a simple animation or two would be awesome! Thanks! -Noods

http://www.3dcafe.com/asp/freestuff.asp should be able to help you, though you'll likely have to open up the model in a modelling program and save it as .x or whatever format you're using.

As well, you should be able to find files in almost any format at Polycount. Might save you some trouble converting things.

Writing a MDX/MDL (War3) Interface is also fun if you have nothing else to do =)
