And this is not C vs. C++.
You're absolutely right. Under NO circumstance did I meant to have a c vs. c++ discussion because it will turn into the same type of discussion as we have now in the commenting thread, where some people think that others want to brainwash them. How silly No wonder there is a lack of progress since inexperienced coders think they're a bomb and won't listen to those who are more experienced with the issue at hand. Just my little and probably last rant because I forfit fights to maintain harmony. I don't have very long to live(only couple of decades which isn't much) and while I'm alive I want to make people happy and not argue with them. If people want to argue then let's talk about the issue and not put anyone down because of what they think. You have to allow the people to change, you can't hold a grudge against them forever. If they're still a jerk then ok don't change you view of him/her but many times people change for the better. We are all learning(I think most of us do)and each day I learn a new thing or two. So my views do change and tomorrow they will change yet again. Isn't life fun
Ok, what do I think about these languages? I think they're great if they allow you to do what you want, but because many times you don't know what you will want i.e. a very large or complex program that can't be thought out in its entirety, you most likely go mainstream or use the same language as the person before you who solved his large/complex problem. Is this fair? No it isn't. Builder5 might be a better solution but since many coders already have vc++ then it's easier to code in vc++ since you can share your code with more people. This is one of those issues I don't want to get involved with so I say: Use what ever works for you but do ask those who used all the products and make them explain to you why they chose one product over another. I don't know anything about delphi so I'll pipe down and give you no comparison, it wouldn't be fair. Good luck in C++
