Midi Composer for Mobile Games
I'm planning to begin coding some mobile games for smartphones using J2ME.
I'd like to integrate some Midi music, and I'd like to compose that myself (or at least try to). What's a straightforward, no-frills MIDI composer you can recommend that doesn't require a real musical keyboard to play and compose with?
I have a good clue about percussion and a vague one about reading/writing music, and I used to do some XM Tracking *cough* about 10 years ago (gosh I'm growing old!)
Heh, I remember my tracking days. That was nearly 10 years ago for me, too!
For MIDI without the keyboards, a lot of people seem to like either Cubase or Cakewalk Pro Audio. Try those.
