3ds max vertex order

Hi I am using 3ds max5 to create the models for my game but i have a problem with the order of the vertices. I have tried various vertex normal operators but i only can flip all normals with them but i want select one vertex and max should flip it. any idea thx einKI
Edit Normals Modifier has a vertex "select by" option.

Why would you want to flip normals by vertex? How about by polygon/face? Editable Mesh -> "Flip Normals Mode" button, then click faces. Or use the "Flip" button after selecting all of the faces to be flipped.

If you're importing from another format, perhaps it's best to find a better importer. Your exporter should take care of flipping normals to your format. Don't kill yourself over such lowly tasks, let the programs do it for you.
