During WW2, flamethrower operators had the shortest lifespan of all possible positions. And very few of them were killed by enemy fire. Pun intended.

Of course, nobody''s explained why you would make something designed to spew flames out of a material that melts at such a low temperature.

CM
indeed, the US Marine Corps discontinued their use I think in the late seventies.

I thought a good way to make a flamethrower would be to fill a supersoaker with lighter fluid and then stick a cigarette lighter on the front and squirt the lighter fluid through the cigarette lighter. However, I would recommend at least keeping a bucket of water or ten around when using it.
what if the flame jumps into the supersoaker and lights the thing on fire. Not a good idea. Out teacher showed us a flamethrower he made using cornstarch. It was a sort of seringe looking thing that sprayed the conrstarch over a large area. Then he would shoot the conrstarch at a candle and lage flame around 6 ft. long was made. Pretty cool and inexpencive compared to liquid fuel. Another intersting thing is it is safer than regular liquid fuels and works rather nicely.

Where do you propose the it would get oxygen inside the tank and on the way there?
i have a question....
what if i took a cinder block, cut it in half so theres only one of the holes
then just lit a fire in the hole and melted some aluminum
(could use some suggestions on how to melt the aluminum without covering up the fire)
this would all be done with a wood fire of course....
so do yall think it would work?
i also want to knwo if i could mold the melted aluminum in BB pelets using a wax mold
thanks in advance
