Good 2d game graphic software?
Hi! I would like to know which do you think is the best software to work with 2d graphics: sprites and backgrounds. I''ve tried a few like photoshop, tilestudio, tilesetmaker, idraw, etc. Photoshop is very good, but i''m looking for a software developed specifically to work on 2d game graphics.
Thx to those who take the time to answer!
Try ProPixel2D, ProMotion and GraphicsGale.
ProPixel2D is developing very quickly while ProMotion is much
like DPAINT (if you know it) but limited to 256 colours.
GraphicsGale is very good for sprites especially close-up.

I''d go for GraphicsGale if you want to make pixelart. (Go here for a list of tools!)
And I heard theGIMP was pretty good for pixelart AND Photoshop-art. Although I haven''t tried it before.
