Hi Ive just borrowed a copy of Mandrake 8.1 so I could try it out but it isnt detecting my HDD. Im guessing its because its a SATA HDD (same thing happened installing XP). does anyone know of a way to fix this, Ive search about the internet but I cant find anything. thanks for any help you can give by the way i have a Maxtor Dimondmax Plus9 and an abit nf7-s v2 motherboard [edited by - grekster on May 1, 2004 10:46:55 AM]

If you find a newer copy of Mandrake (one with a 2.6 kernel or 2.4.27 after it''s released) it should support SATA. Mandrake 10.0 ships with a 2.6 kernel, I believe.
