A small request
Hi,
I''m making a 3D checkers game using DirectX. I made all the pieces myself but didn''t make the checker board because I thought perhaps I would do some sort of interactive board. Basically I held off on it because I wasn''t sure what I wanted to do.
Well I waited too long because now my Milkshape trial period expired and I don''t have any way to produce the textured .X file I need. So I was wondering if there was another free program I could download that could do this, or perhaps even if someone could take five minutes and make/send me a board in the form of a textured .X file. (screamerpillar@verizon.net) I really appreciate it, thanks!
There is a DirectX exporter for Blender.
I know Blender looks scary.
But many people who keep trying to get used to it after the first impression actually make it.

I don''t know a good program off-hand, but take a look through this list. The first grouping is all free 3D software.
