Hello was going to use a 3ds model at 3d Café but the model in question has unnecessarily many polygons for my chess program. So if someone knows a program that can help me easily reduce the faces so I dont have to model the chess pieces by myself, I''d be grateful!
easily reducing? automatic?

well, there are some tools for it around. some are plugins, some inbuild features of the current software. truespace for example does have an inbuild polygon reduction tool ...
but mostly they delete or smooths the important faces/edges and ruins the mesh in this way

so the best way is to model it again. with not this much faces. or you could try to delete some edges manually ... good luck with fixing the holes then
