Tone of the forum. (just curious)
Would you say there are more musicians/audio FX artists on this forum looking for projects to pair up with, or is it mostly the other way around (art-illiterate programmers bumming for help)? I spend most of my time in the programming and art areas, so i really don''t know.
Your opinions are appreciated. thanks

I think that the tone of this forum is alot of people with REALLY great ideas, all the need is an artist, a programmer, a musician.....
Definitely the former. The number of people requesting music or sfx is pretty small compared to the number of people just hanging out and talking bollox.
The number of people requesting sounds slightly outweighs the number requesting music, but this isn''t so surprising when every man and his dog is a bedroom-musician. For the same reason the majority of posters are composers not sound artists.

Sound artist - what is that? I''m a sound engineer.. Don''t know if that qualifies

I get all my sounds at sounddogs.com
How "unorigional". literaly.
The sound FX @ sounddogs are tailored for sound designers to use as palette effects. But if you wanna use them straight up, refer to the above statement. Although some sounds can definately be listed in the "If it aint broke" catagory, but I think they can always be edited in some way to give it a personal touch...
"... And what really sickens me? :-) well a company I contacted informed me that they had an audio developer.. they have bio on their website, he graduated in marketing and was the lead programmer, audio really is the side job."
