Can any guru show me the architecture of MMORPG S/C?
I am a newbie in MMORPG programming from China.In our country this industry is booming amazingly. Soon I will enter a game developing company--it is also the topest ICP in China mainland (its website is www.sina.com.cn). We mainly develp MMORPG for Chinese gamers. (Now there nearly 100 companies are doing so!)
Mostly,I know that in China people develop the server on Linux system and client on Windows system.But I don''t know the details of the game stucture( and there no books or resources in China available on this issue)
Can any guru show me some guidlines on the MMORPG server/client architecture and the main programme structure handling the game logic?
and following questions:
1.By which way the s/c communcinate?
2.The structure of function models of the server and there communcination mode?
Hope you can explain as detailed as possible. You will be appreciated if you show me some links,e-books or other suggestions!
