you''ll have to specify a more specific platform for someone to be able to answer that. Nintendo is just a brand name.

Are you trying to ask about the program they use to make their 3d graphics? I dont know about Nintendo, but I like to use MilkShape 3d. I beleive it only costs about $20. If you''re looking for something free, download Anim8or.

Some other good modeling programs I''ve heard about are Maya3d, Lightwave, and 3d Studio MAX. I never tried any of those.

Search google.com for more info on these programs.
I''ve tried many here at college and have grown very partial to Maya. The personal learning edition is free of their website, I don''t know the address of the top of my head but it''s AliasWavefront.com probably. You may want to learn on a more basic modeler such as milkshape first, however if you take a few tutorials more complexe modelers such as maya should be a breeze. The documentation on Maya is great too.
I second Shane''s idea. Maya is very popular and well-regarded by amateurs and professionals alike, and the Personal Learning Edition is pretty much the entire program, it just sticks a watermark on everything to produce in it.

But don''t get too attached to Maya, because if you actually want to use the real thing, you''d best find a friend who has it, because it''s not cheap. I think Maya 5 is in the neighborhood of two grand, and there''s some kind of super-Maya that costs closer to six thousand dollars. I''m not sure, though.

Using professional-level software is a very good way to learn, and good tutorials abound for Maya. You''ll learn a lot in a big hurry, and the skills you gain will transfer to other programs. Go for the Maya Personal Learning Edition.

www.aliaswavefront.com is indeed the website to go to.
Haha I think I was misunderstood , im very good with my tools
3dmax 5 ,uted3 so I can bsb brush and static level build .
I was heeding ..on more along the line Polly count eg.uted3 gun can have 400 polly’s
How many can a weapon have ? blab la

And is Nintendo a good platform to make for /design a game for, as I only like Zelda
(-4) of them not sure about “gamecube1” but if any thing like majoras mask then Zelda is dead ,why they call it Zelda ? its link but any way back to what I was saying....
I want to make a game / like to draw it up ..sort of a game(–) sound programming and players I can draw every thing else up as well as design the game
….boil’s down to a 3d design doc.[just add sound, programming ,modeler and engine ]to get a game

nearly last my self there :O
thanks for your replies
craig.

Ack... could you repeat that one more time, perhaps without the asides and tangents? No offense, i''m just having trouble getting to the core of what you''re trying to say.
-Vendal Thornheart=) Programming for a better tomorrow... well, for a better simulated tomorrow. ;)
Ok just for u buddy.. I want to draw my design up as a kit set game, as I can (–) a few things like players. So I can take it to some 1 and say here look most of the game is made
…and also is Nintendo a good platform or not and if so what are my polygon limits and so forth ..
craig
and the ps :well if i wanted to read a book id go to the libary!

also sad majuoras mask portrayed hate and racism..im playing at moment on Turtle rock zzz!
----------------------------------*
Even better way of putting it dude ..
Im 30 I played games all my life, “well when the were still little blocks” iv wanted to make my own game since then…. I have played many ,many games and I generally finish them…
but if they junk ,I give them the big miss . I see so many junk games in the market place ….
To my self im capable of making a good game ..at my age I think it would be hard to get a job in this industry ,even though its my life…
So im forced to go to the outer limits and make some thing ,so I can hand it to some 1 so that my life can become a reality but to do this I have designed a game on paper and in my head ,id like to draw it out ,as iv spent over a few 1000s hours learning to do so .
But need to know what Polly count and texture detail I can use to reach this goal,
on a set plat form eg:Nintendo

1. Try complete sentences and drop things like u. The word you are looking for is "you". This forum is not part of AOL hell.

2. What exactly do you mean with "Nintendo"? I assume the Gamecube, but Nintendo is just a company that made lots of different consoles and handhelds in its history.

3. "well if i wanted to read a book id go to the libary!" I don''t think you can go very far in any form of programming with an attitude like this...
For people''s sake, please take an English class or something. Also, try and figure out what Nintendo product you actually are reffering to. I cannot understand almost anything that you''re saying, you''re writing is plagued by nonexistant abbreviations like "u" and odd parenthetical statements like "(-)" which seem to be totally meaningless.
