There are some details to the system that I probably should have made clear. Additional stats if you will that are quite important. This may have been what you were trying to refer to. There are other stats such as Radicalism and Protectiveness that determine how much it takes, and how fast, to change a loyalty. The protectiveness will also determine what the NPC is willing to do for that loyalty.

IE:

ASSUME YOU ARE A CHURCH LOYALIST WHO ISNT TO GREAT OF FRIENDS WITH THE KING

A highly Radical NPC, with a high loyalty to the crown, with high protectiveness will attack you on sight.

A highly Radical NPC, with a high loyalty to the crown, with low protectiveness will most likely refuse to talk with you.

A lowly Radical NPC, with a high loyalty to the crown, with high protectiveness will generaly call for backup.

A lowely Radical NPC, with a high loyalty to the crown, with low protectiveness are types that will engage in just enough conversation for you to sway them (and their loyalties THROUGH them) to you.

Notice: This will take some modification to fit your paradigm of party members, as I allow party members to be gained in a FFT/Inendo fashon.
