Problem using multiple monitors...

I'm actually only using one monitor, but I have a switch to flip back between the two displays. The problem is that windows is using the wrong video card for my primary display. How do I switch this? I thought it would be as easy as switching the plugs, but it still uses my old video card for primary display. Isn't there a way to set the default video card in windows somehow? Oh ya, should I have two monitors installed in the device manager even though I'm only using the one? I assumed so because it detected another (but the same) monitor when I installed another video card... Edited by - _Josh on 7/25/00 9:51:55 PM
Ummm... I belive people have been telling me you can find it in your BIOS most likely. My computer did it perfect the first time, so I haven''t even looked. Yes it should detect two monitors even if you''ve only got one and are using a switch! ;-)

Good luck!
See ya,
Ben

Josh,

Go into control panel, display, ...

Configuration i think, not sure...

So now you must be seeing two Screen instead of one, just swap those two screen, and click use this monitor as the active one, or primary one, dont remember, anyway it''s suppose to be there !!

What''s the cards that you use ?!
