Loading sisfb module

I have a machine running kernel 2.6 with VESA fb statically compiled and sisfb compiled as a module. I can''t get the sisfb module to load when the static vesa driver has reserved the VRAM area. Is there a way to disable the vesa driver without recompiling? Compiling sisfb statically is not feasible because the same kernel built is going to be distributed among quite a few machines.
