Man I loved Fastlane...pretty much anything that McG does is spot on.

I have no clue why they dropped it...it was one of my favorite shameful indulgences.

Sigh...oh well. I guess I can watch "The OC" now

I don''t mean to rain on your parade, but I really think we need more original games. Franchise licensing is getting out of hand these days, IMHO.

most games based on a big-time movie license (and comics too) suck terribly. i wish the people selling these big licenses would pout some restrictions on the games made with them... i''d be pissed if i produced the best movie of the year just to have some game company make a crappy game that only sells because they used my characters.

Agreed on the licensing thing.

Say, did anyone play "Stuntman" or something like that for the PS2? I think it was something like this. You just get in a car and have to do awesome, movie-style things. The backstory was that you were actually making action movies, so anything was possible. If that was what I think it was, it''s pretty much what we''re discussing here. If it wasn''t, then I think that we should just make a game like the one I just described.

If you want a movie franchise theme, call it "Hooper". That''s a Burt Reynolds joke. It might not look like a joke at first, but really, anything involving Burt Reynolds is a joke. Not that I don''t enjoy his work, but man, everything he does is funny, even when it isn''t supposed to be.
