IIRC, you have to "hint" the WM into not giving your window decorations.

Yes I have found a bit about it; the ICCCM specifies that; but I didn't figure out how to use that yet; Instead I have found another way - using Xt instead; I have posted an example here:

PS a little advantage of "non-hinting" is that code isn't dependendt of WM beccause not all WM's care about WM hints.
