I'm looking for instructional art books that will help me in creating my game art (well really help me with my techniques and style). Specifically I'm looking to learn the following: - Facial expressions and the theory behind conveying emotion. I saw a book on this sight recently called, "Stop Staring," bought I was afraid it might focus too much on 3D; what do you think? Any other books on this? - Simple something-and hose (I forgot the term; basically the old style that Mickey Mouse was drawn in) of animation. Where everyone has rubber hoses for arms and legs, and really they ARE rubber and can squash, etc. That would be cool. - General cartooning. - Learning to draw in 3D from IMAGINATION! I already know how to draw in 3D by sight, but I really want to be able to create my own stuff. I'm not interested in learning to draw uber-realistic, just again, simple cartoon styles but this time from any angle and orientation. - People in general, in a Disney-esque style; that is stylized people, not the real things; also animals, etc. [edited by - bob_the_third on November 20, 2003 5:06:53 PM]
