Searching modelers
Hello everyone!
Is there guy''s that can model 3d monster/human/object like an rpg?
Exactly. Belongs in the "Help Wanted" forums. While as a GameDev.Net Forum Moderator I have the ability to "move" posts to the correct forum, I usually don''t do so, so that people see threads like these and know that, in the future, they should post such requests in the correct forum, in this case the "Help Wanted" forum.
Help requests go in the "Help Wanted" forum.
Programming questions go in one of the Programmers'' forums.
Any question not related to the production of visuals is not appropriate in this forum. Questions about stuff like how do create an alpha channel in Photoshop (while this information is in the manual), character design critiques, art postings, game screenshots, tutorial/tutorial requests/links, etc. are the kind of posts that belong in this "Visual Arts" forum. Questions about where to GET a program, like "does anyone know where I can download Photoshop 7" will result in an immediate BAD, and bans of this sort will NOT be revoked, at least not without an email apology, and a forum post apologizing as well once your account has been unbanned (failure to do so will result in a reinstatement of the ban, and no amount of apologizing will remove the ban).
I know all of this info should be in the forum''s FAQ; I haven''t gotten around to finishing the FAQ yet, as it contains a LOT of information, but I''m going to try to finish it up by the end of the weekend. From that point forward, when a user asks a question that is in the FAQ, they will be directed towards the FAQ to encourage adoption of the guidelines which appear in the FAQ.
The FAQ will cover appropriate content, actions which will result in probation and/or banning of user accounts, policies relating to flame wars, personal attacks (probationary, and if continued a ban-causing offense), piracy policy (again, a bannable offense) links to various art & design-related resources (texture collections, company websites: Adobe, Discreet, Caligari, Newtek, etc.), as well as other sites where information (such as tutorials) on Visual Arts can be obtained (Polycount, DeviantArt, etc.).
If there''s anything else you''d like to see in the FAQ, please respond in the thread: "What would YOU like to see in the Visual Arts FAQ?"
