I have OpenOffice 1.0.2, which came installed with Red Hat 9. However, I can''t seem to update to 1.1. At first, I downloaded it and it said it''s a different language from the current OpenOffice and it can''t install over (but they are both definitely the same language). I tried deleting the ~/.openoffice directory, and it installed, but then I could only open OpenOffice 1.0.2, even if I went into the terminal and ran the OpenOffice 1.1 binary instead of using GNOME (which was also supposed to be updated). So...what''s going on?
