Does whine run VB?
After careful deliberation, I have come to the conclusion that Nazrix is not cool. I am sorry for any inconvienience my previous mistake may have caused. We now return you to the original programming
I''m kinda confused why you, nes8bit, want to leave Windows and use Linux but still want to use VB ? I mean, if you want to use a Microsoft product, surley the best place to do it is under a Microsoft OS ???
Not that I am trying to say don''t use Linux. But UNIX/Linux is built on C so wouldn''t it be better to use this? Just an opinion?

> I know linked list, I just need to know how to declare a pointer in vb
Good luck That''s the major drawback with VB. There some undocumented functions regarding pointers, however. Can''t remember the names of them though.
Heck, I used to play Starcraft under Wine...it ran smoother than under Windows.

Come to think of it, why use Visual Basic if you know any other language. You''d be better off with Delphi on Windows, and... uh, whatever Borland''ve decided to call the Linux version... for Linux. At least it would port better.
No, sorry. VB is hideous in all respects. There''s no way that I can empathise with your problem. *shudder*
Having said that, it''ll run under VMWare, whether it runs under Wine or not. www.vmware.com if you''re interested.

But seriously, if you prefer VB over C - stick to Windows. VB is good if you want much GUI and little function . Why do you want to use Linux anyways?

Im pretty sure, when they make Whine 1.0 it will be able too, but right now they are thinking about starting to get serious about version 1.0.

This isn''t a flame war (yet). nes asked a simple question. He doesn''t have to justify why he wants to use VB, he just asked if he can use it.
Everyone is free to choose whatever language/operating system/architecture they like, and no-one has the right to dictate what they should be using.
