I am a vb.net programer. Actually i have a dream of creating an intelligent browser, a browser which understand your behaviour mean what you want, for which purpose you use the internet most. Efficient search internet for user query actually i want to put the Natural language understnading in it. These are some other utilities i want to add, and hundreds of other features but still i am thinking is this software will get the fame. What you think about such idea. Important : Please tell me is XML can be useful(specially for AI purpose) while creating an intelligent software specific for cyberspace. There seems to be a drive by various companies to adopt XML and integrate it in to their products, even if there is no good reason for it. There also seems to be a bit of a push for people to start offering web services and the like. If you plan on entering this domain I would expect that you would want to at least be aware of XML.

I believe focused intelligence is absolutely crucial to a successful brower programming project.
There is already a large amount of research in AI looking at intelligent web browsers... from examples like Ask Jeeves, which take natural language queries and infer likely meanings (then retrieve appropriate pages) to browers that monitor user activity and browsing behaviour to infer the sorts of things that the user wants to look at (and then presents those things... or pre-emptively caches them in case the user might want to look at them).

However, this is still a relatively new research area, so, if you have a good idea, implement it, test it and publish your results. If your idea is good, it will catch on.

Cheers,

Timkin
