Spectatorship. Game meets wildlife documentary. I was watching a TV show about Australia''s wildlife tonight, and saw some lovely / fascinating things. There were shots of coral reefs "spawning", with the brightly coloured coral releasing floating eggs into the water - and clouds of brightly coloured (sperm). Similarly, I saw a lizard hatching from an egg inside a termite mound. And fresh water crocodiles sprinting to get to a pond of water so that they weren''t killed by the sun. I think it would be cool if some games featured things like this, that the player could discover by accident.

I believe Zelda Wind Waker has some of this. There are a lot of things going on, oblivious to the player, if one cares to look away from the action...

Riven has a lot of little things as well, though many (most) of them turn out to be clues...
