This seems to be a problem of console games only: text that comes to the screen very slowly with no way to make it faster. Possibly with some annoying sound for every letter. It''s completely pointless - there''s absolutely no reason text couldn''t just come in one chunk.
Games with zero keyboard support.

Pizza Tycoon was the worst example. From what I could tell, aside from entering your name, the keyboard was completely unused. You pop up a modal yes/no or okay dialog box, it had better respond to the obvious keys!

You'll like this one ...

A game (it's an old mission based flight-sim type game) which comes on two cd's and has a intro movie (skippable I admit) that is played every time a savegame is loaded, but only has the movie on the first disc.

Once I got to the point in the game where I was on the second disc ever time I needed to load a save game I had to go through this process :

  • Flick, flick, flick back to the windows desktop. Loading games was not done in game ...
  • Flick, flick, flick back to the resolution for the video.
  • Get a message to insert disc 1. I can't skip from here.
  • Insert disc 1 and press a key.
  • Press a key again as it never found the disc the first time.
  • Watch the first half second of the intro and skip it.
  • Play the game for about a minute until the next plot point.
  • Get a message to insert disc 2.
  • Insert disc 2 and press a key.
  • Press a key again as it never found the disc the first time.

Couldn't they have put the damn thing on second disc rather than the stupid easter egg of the 5 minute audio track of the progammers singing along (badly) to something we just can't hear! (it sounds like the artsy bit from 2001). Not showing the intro movie on savegame reload would have been even better.

the game Black and White, before the patch, required you to watch the entire entro every time you started a new player ... AND play the tutorial sections ... OUCH! (but they fixed this) - as long as you don''t have to reinstall ... then you have to play them again (WHY?).
Quake II

- 1024 entity limit
- Packet overflow error
- Recently discovered network server crash of some kind
- Not being able to set the brightness

Half-Life

- You lose sound when you alt tab
- Sprites that don't disappear bug
- When you join a game, it will download maps you don't have but NOT wad files
- When you don't have a wad file it will "crash", what the hell is up with that, can't it just not load the map?
- Out of SFX bug
- Bugs that aren't fixed after 25 patches
- Switching to software rendering everytime you go in the user interface
- You can't keep the MP5 weapon if it doesnt have bullets but still has contact grenade (unable to use your ammo!).
- Sometimes rockets get misteriously lost in the sky and you can't reload your RPG, even if you drop it and take it back, the weapon stands broken
- The longjump is freaking not responding, there should be a key you can bind to it or a truely working key sequence... It only works 50% of the time
- Won ID

Unreal Tournament

- Totally impossible to understand error messages on crash
- Not all settings can be accessed through the config menus

Serious Sam

- Freaking annoying mouse lag
- Plain badly designed network code

Some maps are too big that it takes 2-3 minutes just to know where you are.
