Well, there isn''t MP3 support in the pro version either, as far as I know. RedHat omitted the support for MP3 because using MP3 would probably erquire a patent license from fraunhofer etc... but I''m sure you''re all familiar with that debacle already (btw, software patents suck).
Just go here and download the appropriate files you would need
http://www.xmms.org/download.php
I got it to work!!!!
It shouldn''t be hard to find RPMs for MP3 players. Google is friendly, or you might try rpmfind.net
My stuff.Shameless promotion: FreePop: The GPL god-sim.
Alright, I just uninstalled XMMS 1.2.7 and installed 1.2.8 along with the mp3 decoder.
One more problem, Nautilus doesn''t seem to want to treat my desktop as a folder. My desktop is buried in ~/.gnome-desktop instead of ~/Desktop, like it is in Mandrake, and I can''t delete anything from my desktop. I mean, i can right click and select Move To Trash, but I can''t click the delete key and delete it. I thought I once saw an option to set this, but I can''t remember where it is. Anyone know?

You can just make a symlink from ~/.gnome-desktop to ~/Desktop, if you''d like. ~/Desktop is the default directory in Nautilus 2.3 and 2.4 (it was picked so that KDE and Gnome could share a common desktop; non-capitalized "desktop" would have been nicer otherwise ).
Delete not working on the Nautilus desktop is a bug in the version of Nautilus Red Hat chose to ship. It was fixed a long time ago, so any new version should allow it. (Same thing with the Gnome panel not allowing you to mess with it outside of Nautilus, to head that off preemptively).
