I''ve been screwing with Linux for several years now, off and on, and I''ve finally decided to try coding something for it (aside from console apps). Just for the hell of it I want to write something that graphs my keys-per-second over the past 24 hours. Unfortunately I''ve got no clue where to start with it. In the Windows world we have global system hooks for trapping key strokes and mouse motions. Either I''m too sleep deprived or too unedumacated to find these in X. Any pointers (besides null pointers) would be greatly appreciated.
