Anyone know of any free stand-alone uv unwrappers out there similar to Ultime Unwrapper(http://www.unwrap3d.com/) ?

You could take a look at 3dlinks.com. They''ve got tons of plugins/tools etc...

Google for UV mapper classic. Its freeware version of Ultimate, made by the same guy. Less features but it still gets the job done.
