Nvidia, Slackware, and a bad idea.
For ease of setting up use SuSE. It autodetected my SoundBlaster Live!, my Logitech mouse with a wheel and installing the nVidia driver wasn''t too hard (from what I saw on the nVidia website, I had it a lot better than other distros). The YaST2 control centre that comes with SuSE allows you to do most changes to /etc through a nice GUI interface. Installing SuSE rpms is also a breeze (thanx to YaST2). I''m not 100% sure what YaST2 stands for.
