Do I need to have an nvidia/ati card to run the arena? I have a sony r505dl with an intel 830MG graphics chip. The chip runs opengl and directx just fine, or do I need directX9? With my setup, the arena crashes right on startup and displays the "would you like to report the crash" dialogue I am using the newer, smaller binaries. System: Sony r505dl 1GHz P3-M 384mb RAM i830MG Video Thanks

I forgot,

I am running XP Home

thanks
Try running the arena executable in windows 2000 compatability mode. This seems to have fixed it for most people.

If you don't know how to do this, you go to it's properties, go to the compatibility tab and select windows 2000 from the drop down list.
