and windows... windows is just BORING... it is a nice OS, sure, but once you install it, there''s nothing you can MESS with

Exactly! And thats why I tried it in the first place...and that was the only fun part.

I''m going to have to try it in Windows again. One thing I immediately noticed is that windows did not automatically install the card. I need to find the disk wiht drivers now. (using other computer right now)

What brand and model hardware are you using?
Newer Linux distros are definitely catching up to Windows in terms of hardware detection and compatability. My new wireless card was autodetected and configured automatically in Mandrake Linux 9.1. In Windows 98 SE, it was autodetected and prompted for the CD for drivers. And in XP, I downloaded the drivers, and the wireless card was properly configured.

Now I just have to wait for my access point to come in the mail, and I can check to see how all three work with wireless network detection, encryption, and speed.

Erunama, I like a guy with a =w= in his signature- The Weez are my favorite band! Too bad they haven''t done anything for sooo long...but a dvd''s in the works- so i got that goin for me

Well, the band has been pretty busy, just not always together (and we haven''t heard anything new from them). But I say give them some time, and we will get some great stuff. It seems like they are taking their time on album 5, so hopefully it will be better than Green and Maladroit.

Plus, we should have a DVD in a few months to hold us over. In the mean time, I''m listening to some other good bands, like Ozma and Radiohead.

Linksys. I too was surprised that I needed the CD.

That was hilarious.

Gamedev for learning.
libGDN for putting it all together.
An opensource, cross platform, cross API game development library.
VSEDebug Visual Studio.NET Add-In. Enhances debugging in ways never thought possible.
Definitely one of the best Switch spoofs I''ve seen!
