i'm trying to put together yet another Web site on video game AI. It's a slow start, but one of the pages i have up lists schools that teach game AI. Thought some people here might be interested http://ihatebaylor.com/technical/computer/game_ai/resources/schools_and_labs/ The short list: CMU, Colby, Georgia Tech, MIT, North Carolina State, Northwestern, TU Munich, U Hertfordshire, U Michigan, USC -baylor
Rather US-centric I notice! You might like to include other countries as well, if you want it to be internationally useful!?

In Australia, you can add Charles Sturt University & La Trobe University. There''s also a game institute in Canberra, but I need to get the exact name for you before posting it.

Yeah, it is. It''s based on feedback i''ve gotten from people in other newsgroups and articles i''ve read in various journals and books. You''ll notice that it''s not only a US-centric list, it''s a short list. Not sure if that means not many people are doing this type of research or if i just haven''t found them yet. That''s the thing about AI - you sure gotta dig to find the stuff you want

And hey, if it helps, i''m sure a lot of the people in the US schools are from other countries

(yes, it''s true there are people in the US who know nothing about the rest of the world)

In the meantime, i''ll add the people and places you suggested. Thanks for the tip! Heck, maybe i''ll even apply to the great land of Oz. But don''t you guys get Buffy like a year after everyone else in the world. i thought i heard something about censors slowing everything down... On the flip side, i''d be really popular with the ladies on account of my cool American accent

It''s far better so say that "yes, it''s true there are some people in the US who know there is an outside world" (but not many)!

Err, no. American accents aren''t considered cool in Oz... in fact, America in general isn''t considered cool in Oz... particularly after recent events. But we still like people, so just don''t say you''re from the States and you''ll get along just fine!
