Linux has become very user friendly, at least some distros. I got Mandrake set up with no problem at all. It even detected the connection I was sharing on my XP box and set it up for me.... Screw configuring this modem now. (I''m on it as we speak.) ---

most installations are really easy these days, the only problems i''ve had (with suse 7.3-8.1, debian 3 and redhat 9) is the setup of multiple monitors with separate graphics cards. each time i end up manually editing the XF86Config which is pretty easy when you know how, it''s just there isn''t much documentation on how to set it up.
