Ok I got totaly fed up with that Blender Crap. Sure is free and whoo hoo it does have a fair amout of depth but I just dont think so. So I ended up with TrueSpace. They sell their old versions for cheap wich is nice because many COs don''t sell their old stuff. Is not top the line but mucho better than the nothing I had. Has all the reflection stuff and everything. For the most part its easy to use and there is tones of stuff to make anything you want. They are selling ver4 for 99$ if anyones would like the tip.

Erm...I got version four for free at www.Download.com. Then you got a mail with the cd key thing from caligary.com and activated it.

You gave up on Blender too soon, but I understand it does take a bit getting used to. Personally I don''t use it for modeling any more.

I use Wings (www.wings3d.com). It only has modelling tools right now, but they are very polished. It exports to variety of formats.

The only thing a I don''t like about is that it doesn''t yet fully support subdivision surfaces. But that''s where Blender comes in...

How dare you acuse me! Why would the Caligary send me their cd key if they thought I was a pirate. They literally are giving it out for free. Just go to download.com find the item, download,go to website, enter e-mail,they send you cd key. You get it for free :D.

Now that I think about it, they sure do seem to give out those keys willingly. You can get truespace 3.2 free from some other website also...

Don't jump to the guns. Soccerman4 may not be aware, but it's actually version 3. TrueSpace has made it free. You download it from just about anywhere, some mags have it in the extra cdrom demos. You just activate it with Caligari. It sucks cause I had bought it back in 2002 for 50$. It was a promo back then, because it was 99$ for version 3 then. Think it was 4th of July promo back in 2002. I agree, it's the best, once you get used to the interface. The best thing about it is that you can download the file formats and they are well documented. You have also access to the SDK's at the Caligari website.

And now I have version 4, it's even better. I'll continue to support Caligary for future 3D programms.

Oh my bad, was version three I was talking about....I deleted it a while back because I wasn''t much into doing 3D stuff. So it was just wasting space on my computer...

Yeah, I though 4 being free was suspicious.

Hey cows, I like you and all, but don''t tell me you never used Kazaa or even Napster back in the day... Have you guys seen this? It will scare you straight!
