Need some art. Will pay.
I''m in a contest where the goal is to remake old 8-bit or 16-bit games. I have choosen to remake Mike Tysons Punch Out. I have just finished the title screen which I wam really proud of. I did all the art and it doesn''t look that bad. Then I started on making the players. This is when reality set in and I remembered I can''t draw. So here is my offer:
I need pretty simple 2D art animation frames for some of the ppl on MTPO. It looks like most animations for this game are around 3-4 frames.
What I need and what I can offer:
$10 for static image of the ring.
$10 for Idle animation sequence of little mac(3-4 frames)
$10 for Idle animation squuence of Glass Joe(3-4 frames)
That''s $30 for 9 pictures. If these are satisfactory please let me know. And if things go well I would like to keep the programmer artist relationship open for other projects. Please respond to thread if interested. Thanks.

Hmmm. I could do that, but I wonder if there is enough reference material on the web to make truly good images?
Thanks

that would be fun to do. would it have to be an exact copy of the game or could i play around with the graphics a little?
I guess I would prefer if you played around with the graphics. It would be nice to have different characters to fight, and a better ring then the original. I''ll tell you what. I have sprites of king hippo and mario as ref. I''ll animate them into my programmer art ring, and give you guys the website to download the .exe so you can see that I can do this. I''ll have the demo done by Wed. evening, and you can tell me if you want to work on it. I''ll just reply to this thread. Thanks.

As it would be being used for non-profit, could you not run a snes rom and rip the graphics?
Just a thought.

Hey, I can do pixel art. I''ve actually been meaning to redo some of the punch out sprites for fun. Anyways, if you''re interested, drop me a line at matt@divinus.net. I can see if I can get around to doing them for you.

The long way would be to run it through and emulator and take a screenshot of each frame, then cut them out, and use them as you wish.
The short route, which would be a program which does all this for you, might be available - try google

How do you rip the graphics from a snes rom?? Is there a program out there?
Just run the rom through an emulator and hit alt-PrintScreen. It captures an image of the active window, or hit ctrl-PrintScreen to capture an image of the entire desktop if you want. After you do that, paste it into Photoshop or whatever you use and then you got the graphics.
