Snapping sprite frames
I have started to make some sprites for use in my game. The biggest pain I ecounter is trying to line up frames in the bitmap.
To be specific, after creating the first frame, I copy it and try to paste a copy below the first frame. However, I can only use the mouse to line up the two frames - and it has to be precise to one pixel! This is a problem mainly for big sprites, say 200x100.
Does anyone know of an editor with some kind of snap feature for pasting or grid? I''m a cheap-ass, so would prefer freeware or shareware...
Blt 'em Blittin' Blips.
The gimp has guidelines.. gimp is a great tool, but not really easy to use like Paint.
You can get it here: Gimp for Windows Installer

There are no instructions for it, if you have questions please email me at: drarem @ hotmail.com
It will handle any size (as long as they are the same size obviously), the preview window will look distorted if the width and height of the bitmap aren't equal but when saved they will look normal.
I fseek, therefore I fam.
