This looks like more of a storyline description to me than a design document. To me design document means a detailed decrition of how all the game systems like the engine, renderer, and all that stuff are going to work and share data between them.

Anyway, I think that this is a great piece of work. This sounds like it could be a really fun game. I can''t really think of any criticism.
