One last post for the meantime, Reading a review on PCZone.co.uk I read about a GC game called Ikaruga (couldn't remember the spelling when I posted) by Treasure. It is a shoot'em-up, with a twist. The ship swaps between two shades dark / light. When it is dark, the ship absorbs dark shaded projectiles as health, but is damaged by light shaded bullets. And when it is light, light = health, dark = lose health. This is an interesting idea that could probably be (ripped off) in interesting new ways. For example you could have games where some doors only open if you are a red robot (and not a green robot). -Okay this isn't such a new idea, however.. I'm sure that you guys can use this better. Or where only certain objects can be used.. [edited by - Ketchaval on June 3, 2003 9:56:27 AM]
or how about a game - where you need something like a "red" key to open a "red" door!

hahahahaha, I''m just being a punk - sorry

I find this very similar to the elements-system used in many RPGs: The water weapons doesn''t affect the water enemies, but kill the fire enemies, etc...

That remeber me that games where a player can carry things, other can interact (with some kind of magic) and other can use brute force (anyone else remember Gobliiins?).
Sorry, but I don''t find that idea really original (maybe the originality is in the extreme of giving healt instead having no effect).

How about the game where the character changes its color to become undistinguishable from its surroundings?

Oh, and it's Icaruga , not Icaragu .

This kind of reminds me of lost vikings And if you want a good shoot ''em up, try DoDoNPACHI by Atlus and Cave :D Arcade and saturn only though... there seems to be a new one for PS2 though.
