I know this is probably the wrong forum for this post but since the peolpe here are probably familiar with this issue I figured I''d post it here first.
I''m going to try and do a dual boot of Windows ME and red hat Linux today. I downloaded the three .iso files from this address on the Red Hat site
http://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/9/en/iso/i386/
However, all three files now seem to be Adaptec Easy CD Creator files. When I double click on them it starts up my CD creation software for some reason. There are 3 files downloaded and saved to CD but now I don''t think these are correct or are in some way messed up. To be specific, if I right click and hit properties then it shows the Type of File to be "Easy CD Creator Image File".
Do I have to change something here before I try to install the OS from this type of file on CD?
Anyone have any clue here?
Thanks,

Use your cd creator to burn those iso files onto 3 cd''s (one each)
Then you run the cd''s before ME starts booting and then follow the steps. (run cd one first)

OK> As long as it doesn''t matter that the CD reads as having some file type other than ISO which I thought was strange. I''m about to format and partition my harddrive for the two OSs. Just finished backing up all necessary work. Wish me luck ![](smile.gif)

I think your EZ CD Creator just associated .ISO with itself, they''re still standard ISOs.
You got the non-SRPMs right?

If by "non-SRPM" you mean the i386 version then yes...yes I did ![](smile.gif)
I''m hoping I can get away without the formatting of the harddrive. Just ran a complete scan disk and fixing to start up defrag while I watch the tele. After that I''m gonna attempt to partition the disk as it is and just install Red Hat from there.
Worst case I''ll have to format and start fresh anyway.
