I am the same anonymous poster as above. We only had 5 weeks for our animation so we were really scrambling for time . It was all done with 3dsmax5 since they were sponsors of the FIRST competition. We didn''t want to use Maya for that .
We have stayed away from characters because after all, we''re only high school students and we knew we wouldn''t be able to create some nice looking people in 5 weeks. Though next years team is really practicing at making people.
Your pics look really nice, but yet again the armor of the guy now looks more like rubber than plastic. I have toyed hours on with materials before and I know how trivial it is to make those things look realistic . The clothes of the monk are really nice.
Keep up the good work, animations are just a pain to work on and get right.

Yeah... I agree about that in that lighting. He looks better in scene though - with the high contrast low key lighting. And, not too worried. Its a cliche knight
