green guy must die
Watching this for the second time I noticed that the blood puddle SHIFTS. It moves from the far right inward as he dies and it is slightly disconcerting.
Just as long as a person can tell the difference between a
''hurt'' green guy and a killed green guy, then I''m all for that animation!
expecially if there are hundreds attacking me, and all I have is a sawed off rifle...

hase: great progress on the animation.. for an extra "cool" effect, you might do something kinda dynamic with it (maybe even an alternate death-by-gunshot-to-face animation?) like make him do a backflip and land on his face..
if you're playing the game and there's a horde of them coming at you, it'd be cool to see a few flying through the air while others are falling backward

Do NOT let Dr. Mario touch your genitals. He is not a real doctor!

Try to make it in 3d as a bumpmapped Doom III model
Anyone knows if thethe model format specs are released yet? Couldn''t find them with Google
Hahah this is nice;
It the ''die sequence'' would make a nice emoticon
:greendie: :D

hase: what software do you use to work on your sprites? i''ve been considering writing a tool specifically for sprite/pixel artists and animators.. i havent found any software out there yet that''s very good at ''fleshing out'' animations and stuff...

I´ve been thinking about adding a second die animation as well... something with the guy falling forward and sliding across the floor... but unfortunately, no time at all atm.
As for tools - I guess its ultimately a matter of preference, there are some nice animation packages around... I think Imageready works quite nicely, because you can save quite a lot of time on some animations if you are able to reuse certain layers.. also makes tweaking and editing easier.
@dede: don´t worry, there won´t be any hurt greenguys... not for long at least.
