What do you mean by rawwrite?
IIRC rawwrite was a function in Turbo C++ that let you write directly to a disk.
If this is what you want to do then it is really easy in linux.
I''m not at home now but I can post some code from a Disk imager I wrote if you want.
Exume my speling.
